Three Rivers ISD certifies instructional materials and internet protections for 2026–27

The Three Rivers ISD Board of Trustees voted to certify that the district's instructional materials cover all elements of the essential knowledge and skills curriculum required by Texas Education Code 28.002 and that the district protects against access to obscene or harmful Internet content consistent with the Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) for the 2026–2027 school year. Trustee Rick Sowell moved the certification; Trustee Sammy Ruiz seconded and the motion passed 7-0.

The certification statement recorded at the meeting reads in part: "I move to certify that TRISD has instructional materials that cover all elements of the essential knowledge and skills curriculum as required in Texas Education Code 28.002 and certify that we protect against access to obscene or harmful content in compliance with the requirements for certification under the Children's Internet Protection Act." The board did not record further debate on this item.
