The board approved a temporary delegation of hiring authority for professional staff to the superintendent for the summer months. Trustee Thomas Salazar moved to "delegate temporary hiring authority for professional staff to the Superintendent for June, July and August 2026;" Trustee David Saenz seconded the motion and it passed 7-0 on recorded vote.
