County says CodeRed migration complete; new mass-notification vendor onboarding underway
King William County announced it will migrate subscribers from CodeRed to a new vendor after service problems; county staff said onboarding is taking longer than expected but that there will be continuous coverage and automatic migration with opt-out options for residents.

Andrew told attendees the county previously used Code Red but moved away at the end of its contract after vendor issues forced an involuntary migration for some customers. He said staff have identified a new vendor and are working through onboarding. "We have identified a new provider. We are working on onboarding with them, it's taking a little bit longer than we expected but we'll still have continuous coverage of our notification platform," he said.
