Nooksack planners present Economic Development and Transportation Element; council favors multi-use sidewalks

City Planners Holly Hamilton and Rollin Harper presented the draft Economic Development chapter and Transportation Element to the council during the July 6 meeting. Planner Rollin Harper discussed the potential for citywide impact fees and the concept of a multimodal level of service to measure transportation performance; council members signaled a leaning toward multi-use sidewalks as part of the multimodal approach.
