The Board of Trustees of Spring Branch Independent School District voted 7-0 on Feb. 23, 2026 to terminate the employment of Richard Mejia for good cause, effective immediately. Vice President Caroline H. Bennett moved the termination and Trustee Chris Earnest seconded the motion; the minutes record that the motion "passed by a 7-0 vote."
