The WACO ISD Board opened a public hearing at 7:03 p.m. to evaluate the effectiveness of accelerated instruction and interventions. Kourtni Parnell, Executive Director of Interventions, reported that the district provides targeted accelerated instruction in reading and math to students identified as at‑risk through early reading screenings and those who did not meet STAAR standards. The hearing included staff reporting; no public comments were offered and the hearing closed at 7:25 p.m.
