Steve Wilson told the commissioners that the two flood-mitigation project bids opened earlier in the week came in under budget and that the contracts are expected to be awarded at the MWCD Board meeting on July 14. He added that contractors for both projects are eager to begin work. Bids for the Norfolk Southern bridge were delayed at the contractors' request and will now be opened on July 14, 2026.
