Settlement approved to end litigation over United Rentals land-development plan

Solicitor Gary Asteak told the board that United Rentals had failed to accept the terms of conditional final approval within the required five days and filed an appeal. The developer later indicated willingness to accept the conditional-approval terms; the board adopted a resolution to deny the original plan earlier and then approved a settlement agreement to terminate the litigation. Vice-Chairman Martin J. Boucher moved to approve the agreement and authorize Solicitor Asteak to execute it on behalf of the township; Supervisor Stephen A. Brown seconded and the motion passed (5-0).
