New Rochelle Sister City Committee says French sailboat from La Rochelle will visit in September

Karen Strauss, co‑president of the Sister City Committee, told attendees that the committee has organized exchanges with La Rochelle, France, for students, pen pals and musical groups and that the group hopes those programs will continue. Strauss announced that a sailboat, the Notre Dame des Fleurs, "about 28 and 0.5 meters," crossed the Atlantic from La Rochelle and "will be here in September," and that the committee is searching for a docking spot and plans to greet the 10 sailors who made the voyage.
