The director said the position’s annual cost is about $113,003.93, with roughly 47% paid by Medicaid revenue and the rest by levy; the prorated 2026 cost will be covered from ADRC fund balance. Supporters argued the role is necessary to meet statutory timelines and rising case complexity; one supervisor voted no citing future levy concerns, and the motion passed 25–1.
