The full story

Administration told trustees it intends to file a modification to expand the district's Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) designation system before the April 15 deadline so more teachers become eligible for the allotment. The modification would broaden the data sources used to designate teachers and potentially make additional non-general-fund dollars available for compensation. Administration said this money would not hit the general fund and could be written into a spending plan to recruit and retain staff.
