Troup ISD approves multiple staff contracts after executive session
Following a closed session, trustees approved a slate of professional, term and probationary contracts for 2026–2027, including a probationary contract for new hire Kayla Pritchett; a handful of abstentions were recorded on specific items.

The board met in closed/executive session from 6:50 p.m. to 7:38 p.m. and, on reconvening, approved several personnel contracts on the Superintendent's recommendation. Ty Lindsey moved (second Homer Dickey) to approve a professional probationary contract for new hire Kayla Pritchett for 2026–2027; the motion passed 7–0. Later votes approved term and probationary contracts for many staff members; recorded abstentions included Jake Howard on Angela Howard's contract and Ty Lindsey on Kathleen Lindsey's contract and on a bundled set of approvals.
