Planning Commission approves four map amendments, continues three items
On Aug. 10, 2026 the Hillsborough County Planning Commission heard City of Tampa and Plant City map amendments, unanimously finding consistency on TACPA 26‑04, 26‑06 and 26‑08 and PCCPA 25‑07; the commission also approved continuances for several other items (TACPA 26‑05/26‑07 and PCCPA 26‑03).

At its Aug. 10, 2026 public hearings, the Planning Commission considered a series of small‑scale comprehensive plan map amendments for the City of Tampa and Plant City. Staff recommended consistency findings for three Tampa items (TACPA 26‑04 at 2410 North Boulevard; TACPA 26‑06 at 1860 East Fowler Avenue tied to an annexation; TACPA 26‑08 at 4707 East Henry Avenue) and one Plant City item (PCCPA 25‑07, a 46.5‑acre amendment south of Knights Griffin Road). Commissioners voted unanimously to find each amendment consistent with the applicable comprehensive plan policies.
