The Town Board voted to issue a Request for Proposals to retain a planning consultant to update Newfane’s Comprehensive Plan, which the resolution notes is approximately 28 years old. The update will address smart-growth principles, housing, agricultural preservation, infrastructure, waterfront and tourism concerns, environmental issues and future development priorities under the terms of a New York State Department of State grant.
