ITD presents US-91 corridor plan; commissioners flag safety and capacity issues

Idaho Transportation Department and consultants presented a US-91 corridor study identifying crash hot spots, bridge and pavement issues and multiple conceptual intersection improvements (roundabouts, signals and five-lane sections). ITD said projects could compete for federal safety funds; commissioners suggested local tweaks (turn-lane striping, lighting) as near-term measures.
