Planning Commission backs updating Emigration's wildland-urban interface code to 2024 standard
The commission unanimously recommended that the Emigration Canyon Council adopt the 2024 International Wildland Urban Interface Code (per H.B. 41, 2026), replacing the 2006 Utah WUI code; no public comment was received.

Planner Curtis Woodward presented a proposal to amend Section 9.90.025 of the Emigration Canyon Municipal Code to replace the 2006 Utah Wildland Urban Interface Code with the 2024 International Wildland Urban Interface Code in accordance with H.B. 41 of the 2026 Utah legislative session. No members of the public spoke during the hearing.
