The board approved two change orders for the courthouse roof project from River City Contracting that together reduce the contract cost by $32,200. Staff explained that Change Order No. 1 substitutes a metal roof for the previously specified TPO coating, yielding a $25,000 savings, and Change Order No. 2 revises insulation and coping and saves $7,200. "This is a cost savings of $25,000," staff told the commissioners when discussing the alternate roof selection.
