The Nottoway County Board of Supervisors heard a public hearing and multiple speakers on a proposed text amendment that would explicitly add "solar" to the zoning ordinance definition of "public utilities." Planning staff reported the Planning Commission had recommended denial by an 8' to' 0 vote, saying the current language already contemplates energy generation.
