During the communications period a resident who identified himself as a former Bradley County Sheriff's Office employee praised the commission's recent action to increase first‑responder pay and thanked commissioners for what he called 'the hard right thing.' He said his highest previous annual pay had been about $49,000 and called the pay increase deserved.
