The Public Safety Committee voted to forward a special event permit from Union Presbyterian Church for a first‑time Cinco de Mayo event to the City Council. Clerk told the committee, “So this is the event is to take place on, May 9 from roughly noon to 5PM,” and said the activity would primarily occur in the church parking lot with vendors and an expected attendance of about 100 people.
