At a special meeting April 20, the Pine River-Backus School District Board of Education approved an additional Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position to take effect in the 2026–27 school year. The motion was made by Nicki Linsten-Lodge and seconded by Leslie Bouchonville; the minutes state that "All voted aye."
