During the June 1 meeting the Pine River-Backus Board accepted resignations effective in early June from five district employees: Heidi Envall (Art Teacher), Autumn Loge (Youth and Family Services Worker), Katie Palmer (Elementary Teacher), Kevin Furst (Technology Director, effective June 12) and Tom Sewall (route bus driver, effective May 29). The board authorized posting to fill those positions and approved hiring Gabrielle Hannah as an elementary teacher for the 2026–27 school year.
