Supervisors authorize two 28E agreements for Healthy Hometown cancer‑screening program

At the May 19 meeting, the Louisa County Board of Supervisors authorized Public Health Director Leah McElhinney to sign two 28E intergovernmental agreements with Marion County for the "Healthy Hometown Combat Cancer Preservation & Screening Program." The agreements authorize $4,873.15 to service Muscatine County and a second agreement for $1,221.47. Motions to approve the agreements were recorded (Motion Maine, second Hunt; a separate motion recorded for the second amount).

Leah McElhinney presented a quarterly public health update prior to the motions. The agreements allow Louisa County to participate in the screening and prevention program administered under a 28E arrangement with Marion County; the minutes record the dollar amounts and the board's authorization for McElhinney to sign on behalf of Louisa County.
