Council Member Jack Burns initiated a discussion about transient lodging, asking whether the council should review current regulations to keep them aligned with long‑term goals. Randy Aton said transient lodging "has replaced long-term housing and retail, resulting in a decrease in the town's diversity," and council members agreed on the value of a community survey and a possible academic analysis of lodging capacity.
