Springdale approves interlocal wildfire agreement with Hurricane Valley Fire

The Springdale Town Council unanimously adopted an interlocal cooperation agreement with Hurricane Valley Fire Special Service District to formalize the town's participation in the Cooperative Wildfire System, with the town's commitment estimated at approximately $10,000 or less.

The Springdale Town Council voted July 8 to adopt an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement with the Hurricane Valley Fire Special Service District to formalize the town’s role in the Cooperative Wildfire System. Town Manager Thomas Dansie told the council the town’s participation will include initial attack, preparedness, mitigation and firefighting support, and that the Town’s participation commitment is "approximately $10,000.00 or less." The motion to adopt the agreement was made by Council Member Randy Aton and seconded by Kyla Topham; it passed unanimously.
