The Georgetown Independent School District Board adopted a resolution Aug. 4 to implement teacher and staff pay increases retroactive to July 1, 2025, citing state funding provided in House Bill 2. Amanda Johnson presented the resolution text; Board Member Stacy McLaughlin moved to approve and Cody Hirt seconded. The motion passed 7–0.
