Trustees approved a resolution to divide the district’s 106 votes for the Angelina County Appraisal District board: 53 votes for Jimmy Ford and 53 votes for Gilbert J. Garza, following a recommendation from ACAD leadership.

Kent Walker, board president of the Angelina County Appraisal District, explained a new board structure and recommended that Hudson ISD split its votes between the two uncontested incumbents running for the ACAD board. The Hudson ISD board adopted a resolution to cast 106 votes — 53 for Jimmy Ford and 53 for Gilbert J. Garza — and the motion carried unanimously.
