At the Jan. 20 Splendora ISD board meeting, Trustee Barry Welch moved and Trustee Kimberly Klepcyk seconded approval of Resolution No. 2025-10, enabling the district to pursue the Rifle‑Resistant Body Armor Grant Program. The resolution passed with a unanimous 7–0 vote.
