The Mexia ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved the district Library Materials List during its April 20, 2026 meeting after a motion by Bud Shamblin and a second from Dr. Bill Lowry.

During the Curriculum and Academics portion of the April 20 meeting, the board considered a proposed Library Materials List for district libraries. Bud Shamblin moved to approve the list; Dr. Bill Lowry seconded the motion. The minutes record the motion passing 5-0, approving the listed materials.
