County board honors FoodWIse educators amid SNAP-Ed funding cuts
Eau Claire County recognized four FoodWIse educators impacted by SNAP-Ed funding cuts; area extension director Kristen Breuder praised the staff for partnerships and outcomes while two educators remain part time through Sept. 30, 2026.

Supervisor DeLuca introduced the FoodWIse educators and described SNAP-Ed funding cuts that reduced staff capacity. He named Kristen Breuder (area extension director), Sandy Tarter, Joy Weisner and Macy Lean and thanked them for work in schools, food pantries and community programs. DeLuca said some positions are now part time through Sept. 30, 2026.
