Council held a first reading on a resolution authorizing the Iowa Park Community Development Corporation to expend up to $600,000 on community facilities improvements, principally updates to the Iowa Park Recreation Activities Center (RAC). Proposed work includes three ADA parking spaces, new front doors, replacement flooring and ceiling tiles, kitchen cabinet replacement, painting, two refrigerators and two ranges, and a proposed flip of the men’s and women’s restrooms; alternate plans call for refreshing three meeting rooms and an office.
