The Spafford Town Board unanimously adopted Local Law No. 2 of 2026 on June 11, enacting a temporary moratorium on the development or construction of data centers, accessory data centers and cryptocurrency data mines within town boundaries. The roll-call vote recorded Supervisor Laura Moran and Councilors Kimberly Brayman, Charles Parsons, Adam Wise and James O’Connell as voting "Yes."
