Commissioners approve $1.02 million budget amendment for FY2026 fleet replacements

The court approved a $1,017,000 budget amendment to restart the fleet replacement program. Budget staff said $204,238.40 has been received to date, $819,423 was reallocated from prior unspent vehicle funds, and $197,576 will come from contingency to cover the total.

Budget and Finance Director Monica Arris explained a $1,017,000 budget amendment to fund FY2026 fleet replacements after earlier cuts to the fleet program. Arris said the court had directed staff to use incoming revenues tied to a contract to restore part of the program; she said, verbatim, "so far we have received $204,238.40 towards that grama," and that staff identified $819,423 from unspent prior-year vehicle funds and proposed drawing $197,576 from contingency to reach the full amendment amount.
