District staff told trustees the speech-language pathologist (SLP) position has been vacant since March 2026 and there has been no interest from applicants. The administrative recommendation was to authorize an expedited contracted services option that provides an SLPA to do therapy with a licensed SLP supervising evaluations and ARD documentation. "The district has had the speech language pathologist vacancy open since March 2026, and there has been no interest of applicants in filling this position," a staff presenter said.
