District staff told trustees Tornillo High School was one of 12 Texas schools awarded a two‑year TEA virtual‑hybrid grant to plan and implement a flexible delivery model for grades 9–12. "This 2 year grant is a total of $150,000 for 2 years," the presenter said, later clarifying that TEA’s net award after set‑asides was $147,000 and that year‑one planning funds total $100,000 with $50,000 in year two.
