Bloomington board directs engineering oversight as TDS expands fiber plan
The Village Board instructed Delta 3 Engineering and staff to monitor TDS Telecom after the company expanded a proposed utility extension across much of Bloomington, and set seven construction and restoration conditions to protect village infrastructure.

Village President Robert McLimans told the Board that TDS Telecom has substantially expanded its proposed installation plan, now spanning multiple permit packages and reaching from the alley beyond First Street to Fairground Road past the fairgrounds. He said Delta 3 Engineering’s Mark Digman had followed up with TDS after the expansion and that the village would require oversight to protect utilities and right-of-way.
