Trustees approve multiple student travel requests and competition participation
The board approved travel for several high school music and drill teams to Orlando in 2026, two Sam Rayburn ambassadors to attend a September 2025 summit in Pittsburgh, and authorized a student to attend the National Spanish Spelling Bee in July 2025.

The board approved travel requests for multiple student groups to participate in out-of-state events: J. Frank Dobie Lariaettes, Pasadena Memorial Side Kicks and Orchestra (March 4–8, 2026, Orlando), Pasadena Memorial Maverick Band (April 25–29, 2026, Orlando), and South Houston High School Marching Band (April 24–27, 2026, Orlando). The motions passed by 6–0 votes as recorded in the minutes.
