Public commenters at the Oct. 30 special meeting voiced support for the council’s decision to purchase the 31.7-acre parcel for park expansion and tourism use. Luisa Chappell told the council the purchase was a "Good idea and price," and Lisa Brassell urged attention to "Comprehensive Plans" and said "Community Engagement is Important."
