Select Board backs regional Brownfields grant application that could fund assessments

The Peterborough Select Board voted Dec. 16 to support a regional Brownfields grant application being prepared by the Southwest Regional Planning Commission (SWRPC) and the Monadnock Economic Development Corporation. Trisha Cheever, presenting the opportunity, said the coalition is pursuing roughly $1.5 million in funding and that shared membership—potentially with Winchester and Keene—would give Peterborough a seat in selecting which Brownfields properties receive funding.
