Several IT initiatives tabled, data centers item and .gov domain migration postponed

Multiple IT and information‑technology governance items were presented on June 8 and the court elected to table them for further review. Commissioner Kyle Workman moved to table a proposal to change Leon County’s domain to a .gov address; Commissioner Paul Bing seconded and the motion carried. The IT Committee’s recommendation to migrate to a .gov domain and a proposed standardized county email signature block were similarly tabled. A Firetron contract on the agenda was also tabled by motion.
