The Plains Independent School District Board of Trustees approved the district's construction budget during a special meeting on March 9, 2026, in the Plains ISD Board Room at Central Office, 811 Cowboy Way. Trustee Shayne Griffiths moved to approve the construction budget as presented and Trustee Jared Bell seconded; the motion carried 7-0, with Trustees Steven Bunch, Patrick Hogue, Bill Robles, Shayne Griffiths, Brandi Lopez, Jared Bell and Stacy Franklin recorded as voting in favor.
