Harrison County approves $2.835 million in matching funds for READI 2.0 projects

Harrison County commissioners voted unanimously March 19 to commit local matching funds totaling $2,835,000 to two READI 2.0 economic development projects: $2,000,000 for the Corydon Commercial Development and $835,000 for the Woods of Heritage Hills Project. Ryan Ritchie of RJL Solutions told the board that READI 1.0 had produced significant private investment in the county, noting the Lanesville Business Park had generated "$20 million in private investments" and that the New Salisbury project "has unlocked $30 million in private development, with 50 homes already occupied." The commissioners approved both commitment letters and a project memo by 3-0 votes and authorized signatures.

The commitments are local matching obligations required to secure READI state funding and enable private development.
