East Peoria council bans smoking, e-cigarettes in Levee Park
The City Council unanimously adopted Ordinance No. 4910, adding Levee Park to the city code’s smoking ban and aligning park rules with those at EastSide Centre to keep the park family-friendly.

The East Peoria City Council on May 19 adopted Ordinance No. 4910 to prohibit smoking and use of electronic cigarettes in Levee Park. Commissioner Seth D. Mingus said the city added Levee Park to existing code provisions that already prohibit smoking at EastSide Centre and described the change as part of keeping the park open and family‑friendly.
