In the Superintendent's Report at the June 17 meeting, the board was provided a construction update by Dr. Adreon and told that the district will be closed on Friday, June 19 for the Juneteenth federal holiday. The minutes also record that the Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB) has posted the superintendent job opening for the 2027–2028 school year; the application deadline is September 21.
