The Hays CISD Board voted to approve property, school liability, automobile and workers’ compensation insurance coverages from the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Risk Management Fund for an amount not to exceed $3,194,458. Board President Byron Severance read the suggested motion and Trustee Vanessa Petrea moved; Secretary Geoff Seibel seconded. Trustee Esperanza Orosco abstained, noting TASB is her employer; the motion passed 6-0-1.
