The council approved Supplement No. 2 to HDR Engineering's Task Order No.7, increasing the task order by $125,090 to study an inline alignment option for Birmingham Road to remove an at-grade railroad crossing and to provide grant-writing services aimed at Railroad Crossing Elimination (RCE) federal funding. Staff explained that prior flyover concepts proved cost-prohibitive given topography and right-of-way constraints, prompting the alternative study.
