West Reading appoints Code Department Manager as Animal Control Officer

The Borough Council on Jan. 21 approved Resolution 2025-4 to designate the Code Department Manager, Chad Moyer, as the borough's Animal Control Officer. The change was presented as an in-house solution to reduce gaps and costs associated with outsourcing animal-control duties to the contracted provider (Safety Net Sanctuary).
