Council unanimously adopts ordinance amending multiple city-code sections

The Wheaton City Council voted unanimously on Aug. 3 to adopt Ordinance O-2026-39, which amends several sections of the City Code, including provisions on electronic attendance participation, appointments to administrative offices, special-event insurance requirements and bonds for streets and sidewalks. Councilman Scott Brown moved the ordinance and Councilman Scott Weller seconded; the motion carried on a roll-call vote with seven ayes.
