Legislature advances agricultural-district consolidation after contested votes

Legislators Frazier and Cruz moved to lift Resolution Intro. 276 (25-0202), the eight-year review proposing consolidation of Agricultural District No. 6 into District No. 5; that motion passed on a recorded vote of 18-9. Following that action, another motion to table the resolution failed on a recorded vote of 15-13, clearing the way for the Legislature to proceed with the substantive matter.
