Senator Caballero rose to recognize Jonathan Alfaro Saravia and Christopher Torres Alfaro of Mendota High School after their team won first place at the Mathematics Engineering Science Achievement (MESA) National Engineering Design Competition at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory. Caballero said the students designed "Safe Space," a multilingual crisis-response system that provides anonymous, real-time mental-health support for students.
